The Parc du Bois-de-la-Bâtie is located above the Jonction neighborhood. It is easy to spend the day there, away from the city's hustle and bustle, where you'll find very big trees, many slides, a paddling pool and an animal park.

HappyKid comment:

If you want to get some fresh air without leaving Geneva, the Bois-de-la-Bâtie, its animal park and playgrounds, are an ideal destination for the whole family! It is in a good location, has friendly and funny animals (see Animal park under HappyActivities), several play areas, swings, slides, etc. all very well adapted to our children's development stages and needs, such as channeling some of that fabulous energy away. This park is a "must-go" from time to time and for all ages.

You will also find a football pitch for the more athletic, a grassy picnic area for when everybody gets the munchies, sandpits for toddlers, top-notch games for older kids and a small, wooden train that "my oh my, doesn't get very far very fast"smiley. It's fresh in summer, under the shade of the trees and close to the paddling pool. Explorers, nature lovers and adventurers will love the woods, its little stream and large trees. Two restaurants, nothing out of the ordinary, although La Tour is quite charming and in the shade, for those who've run out of yummies or drinks.
