Children are particularly welcome at the Geneva botanical gardens. A play area awaits them, a beautiful mary-go-round is available during the nice season. Several spaces have been conceived for them: the Botanicum by the lake side, the garden of Touch and Smell which they appreciate in particular. A picnic area is also available for families or school outings (...)

HappyKid comment:

This is one of the magnificent parks of Geneva, which is so lucky to have so many! The botanical gardens is a particularly great place for kids as they are invited to admire and even study with a very close look plants and flowers. There is indeed a "Garden of Smell and Touch", which the tiny hands that love to touch everything appreciate a lot! smiley

The Enchanted Forest is a playground with little elves and giant salamanders, tiny wooden huts and slides.

The green houses and the winter garden are fantastic, especially when it's so cold and grey in Geneva. Just by visiting them, you are bound to travel to the tropical zones of this planet, surrounded by giant and exotic plants and feeling the warmth and humidity they need to survive (I must have been a tropical plant myself in a previous life smiley!).

There are also deer, peacocks, ducks, flamingos, sheep - all sorts of sights and sounds for the children. Even some rare species (ProSpecieRara).

The most fabulous Mary-go-Round, Le Carrousel des Fables, is available during the nice season.

Regularly great "green workshops" are organized, where kids can discover all sorts of fun activities and learn about plants (cf. HappyAgenda).
