Rest, relax, refresh, swim, enjoy the sunshine, contemplate: this is the beautiful menu that the population will be able to enjoy during a summer break from June 22 to September 29 at the Plage Publique des Eaux-Vives. And all this in peace and quiet! Yes, because despite the proximity of the Gustave-Ador quay, it must be said that we will find ourselves almost on a lake islet, a timeless space, isolated from the daily turmoil.

Three pebble coves separated by dikes extend the Baby-Plage sand coves. The strikes plunge gently into the lake. They are bordered by a wide concrete walkway and a lawn that will not be used until July 13th due to the coolness of May and [recent storms].

Swimmers will be able to take advantage of showers and fountains to quench their thirst. Access to the beach is free and swimming is not supervised.

HappyKid comment:

The Eaux-Vives public beach is finally open to the public! We can swim in fresh water in a brand new unique setting. But don't imagine being on your own, it is super crowded!

Inaugurated on June 22nd, it still has areas that need to be completed, but you can already enjoy the access to the lake and the relative "calm" that reigns in the reedbed.

In addition to the access to the lake, to cool-down there are also showers and drinking water fountains. Bicycles, scooters, loudspeakers and dogs are prohibited in order to preserve the well-being and relaxation of all.

As with any swimming with kids, always be super vigilant! There is no surveillance here, contrarily to Geneva-Plage or around the other paying swimming pools.
