The Buvette des Bains, a refreshments area is located on the pier of the Bains des Pâquis, which can be reached by following the quai du Mont Blanc on the right bank of Lake Geneva. It's ideal geographical location, in the middle of the harbor, makes it an exceptionally peaceful and quiet area.
As you step onto the pier of the Pâquis, you leave behind the city's noise pollution, the city dweller's stress and air pollution. (...) A unique area that marks quite a change from usual restaurants where you can take the kids for brunch, lunch, a snack or an early dinner. Meals are good, salads are magnificent, not to forget the nightly fondue. Do warn finicky children: no nuggets, no pizza, but delicious home-made pastries and ice-cream, naturally!
Because of its natural setting and popular ambiance, going to the "Bains" is a true change of scenery. So... it becomes very, very crowded when the weather is warm... If you or your children don't like a big crowd, you should avoid this experience or go very early in the morning.
Naturally, for security reasons, toddlers and older children must be well supervised as you are at the water level, or just above.
