My name is Michelle Petersen and I am an on-location portrait photographer for babies, children, and their families, based in the “La Cote” region of the Lac Leman between Versoix and Morges.

My biggest love is finding the heart-stopping moments that capture the beauty and uniqueness in each person, and the emotions that go with them: joy, love, family connection, goofiness, or calm and peaceful moments.

I am on the lookout for genuine smiles and the little details that make each child beautiful (eyelashes, sun reflected in soft hair, giggles, soulful eyes, tiny feet, and so much more!). I typically find good lighting, direct my clients into a relaxed pose, and then get them to interact with me and with one another. The overarching emotions, family connections, and feelings in a photo are more important to me than a perfect pose, so I don’t worry if a three year old wants to wander and explore or if it takes a shy one-year-old some time to warm up to the camera.

Life is not perfect, but it is fun and precious, and that is what I strive to capture during a photo session. I want my clients to get images filled with joy, love, family connections, and the unique beauty and personality of each person.
